AMCOM’s AM07511542WM is a broadband GaAs MMIC power amplifier. It has 25dB small signal gain, and 42dBm output power over the 8 to 11GHz band at 8V bias and a 5% pulsed operation. Because of high DC power dissipation, we strongly recommend to mount the bare die chip devices with eutectic bonding directly on a copper heat sink. It is capable of working at 8V DC bias voltage under pulsed condition if the eutectic bonding does not have any voids. Otherwise, we recommend operating the MMIC at 7V DC bias to provide some thermal margin. The MMIC is offered in both chip (-00-R) and package (-SN-R) forms. The AM07511542WM-SN-R is in a ceramic package with a flange and straight RF and DC leads for drop-in applications. Good heat sinking is required. Both chip and packaged versions are RoHS compliant

TriQuint’s TGA2238-CP is a packaged, high power Xband amplifier fabricated on TriQuint’s 0.25 um GaN on SiC production process. Operating from 8 – 11 GHz, the TGA2238-CP achieves 50 W saturated output power with 24 dB power gain and 34 % power-added efficiency.
The TGA2238-CP is packaged in a 10-lead 15 x 15 mm bolt-down package with a Cu base for superior thermal management. Both RF ports (RF input internally DC BLOCKed) are matched to 50 ohms allowing for simplesystem integration.
The TGA2238-CP is ideally suited for both military and commercial x-band radar systems and data links.
Lead-free and RoHS compliant.
Evaluation boards are available upon request.
