O.M.N.I. Category 5 Connector
The O.M.N.I. Category 5 connector retains the same external dimensions
as all existing products but now meets the TIA 568A Category 5 require-
ments. The connector still fits in all information outlets and panels that
take the standard O.M.N.I. connector.
Simple hand tools are still all that are required to terminate the connector
to Category 5 UTP. There is no difference in the termination method. No
special terminating, stripping, or punching tools are required.
The O.M.N.I. connector allows the installer to wire either 568A or 568B
wiring schemes. The connector consists of a jack body and a clear dress-
ing block. A label on the dressing block shows the wiring schemes.
