The new IDC females are designed for a quick and space
saving locking. This will be achieved by latches integrated
already in the insulation body which will snap in the existing
notches in the male connector. For the guiding of the ribbon
cable the insulator body contains alignment guides for the
exact positioning of each wire of the ribbon cable.
