Insulation Crimp Special Notes:
1. The tooling for this applicator is intentionally designed to assist in reducing the insulation/conductor step that is
on the bottom of the terminal.
2. The wire is intentionally stripped long, so that the copper stranding is completely exposed in the insulation
grips.
3. After crimping, the insulation grips shall be formed so the sides of the insulation grips do not touch the wire.
The insulation grips may gently rest on top of the wire strands. The insulation grips are to be formed to slip into
the connector housing, but will provide no wire strain relief.
Tool Qualification Notes:
1. Pull Force should be measured with no influence from the insulation crimp.
2. The above specifications are guidelines to an optimum crimp.
