Extractor Tool for Picoflex ? Connectors
2. Push the tool together so the prongs are far enough apart to fit over the connector that is being extracted.
3. Squeeze the prongs together until the locator fingers are in the slots of the connector end walls. See
Figure 1.
4. While keeping the extractor tool engaged with the connector, gently pull the connector straight up from the
header. Damage may occur to the header or connector if it is extracted at an angle.

Warning: Care must be taken during this procedure to prevent bending of the pins that are left in place in
the header assembly.
5. Molex does not offer repair parts for Extractor Tools due to the inexpensive nature of these tools.
Maintenance
1. If any of the metal locating fingers are damaged or missing on this extractor tool it will be necessary to
replace it.
CAUTION : Molex specifications are valid only when used with Molex connectors and tooling.
