related interrupt, the parameter will point to the word in
memory that caused the interrupt. For example, for a RAM
parity error, the parameter will point to the RAM address
where the parity error occurred.
Message-based interrupt events include End-of-message,
Selected mode code, Format error, Subaddress control
word interrupt, RT Circular buffer rollover, Handshake failure,
RT Command stack rollover, transmitter timeout, and RT
circular buffer 50% rollover. Non-message interrupt
events/conditions include Time tag rollover, RT address parity
error, MT data stack rollover, MT command stack rollover,
RAM parity error, RT Command stack 50% rollover, MT data
stack 50% rollover, MT command stack 50% rollover, and BIT
completed.
The RT interrupt status queue includes the capability to
support filtering of interrupts, based on message validity.
This takes the form of a pair of register bits, one to enable
interrupts for valid messages, and a second to enable
interrupts for invalid messages. Filtering on message
validity/invalidity is applicable for the EOM (End-of-
message), RT Subaddress Control Word, and RT Mode
Code interrupt conditions.
RT Auto-boot option
If utilized, the RT auto-boot option allows the Enhanced
Mini-ACE RT to automatically initialize as an active remote
terminal immediately following power-on. As an option, the
Busy status word may be set to logic "1" at this time. This is
a useful feature for MIL-STD-1760 applications, in which the
RT is required to be responding within 150 ms after power-on.

Other Features
Enhanced Interrupt Architecture
In addition to all of the interrupts from the ACE/Mini-ACE,
the Enhanced Mini-ACE architecture includes interrupts for
BIT (built-in-test complete), four bits for the Enhanced
Mini-ACE BC message sequencing, and 4 interrupts for RT
and Monitor 50% circular buffer rollover.
BC: Interrupts for BC message sequence
control
The Enhanced Mini-ACE BC provides four user-definable
interrupts, for use in association with the BC message
sequence control capability. These may be
defined and issued to be in response to specific
events that occur when the BC is processing a
frame of messages.
RT: Interrupt for 50% Rollovers of Stacks,
Circular Buffers
The Enhanced Mini-ACE RT and Monitor is
capable of issuing host interrupts when a sub-
address circular buffer pointer or stack pointer
crosses its mid-point boundary. For RT circular
buffers, this is applicable for both transmit and
receive subaddresses. Reference Figure 6.
There are four interrupt mask and interrupt
status register bits associated with the 50%
rollover function: (1) RT circular buffer; (2) RT
command
(descriptor)
stack; (3)
Monitor
command (descriptor) stack; and (4) Monitor
data stack.
Time Tag LSB check (for synchronize mode code)
This feature provides additional flexibility for using the 1553
Synchronize (with data) mode code. If utilized in RT mode,
the Enhanced Mini-ACE RT will store the received data
word for a received Synchronize (with data) mode code only
if the LSB of the received data word equals logic "0".
Similarly, if the Enhanced Mini-ACE BC is programmed to
transmit the value of its Time Tag Register as the data word
for a Synchronize (with data) mode code, the transmitted
data word may be programmed to always contain a LSB of "0".
