12. Bias Supply (V
DD
)
This is the main bias source for the FAN9611. The
operating voltage range is between 8 V and 18 V. The
V
DD
voltage is monitored by the under-voltage lockout
(UVLO) circuit. At power-up, the V
DD
voltage must
exceed 10.0 V (?.5 V to enable operation. The
FAN9611 stops operating when the V
DD
voltage falls
below 7.5 V (?.5 V). See PGND pin description for
important bypass information.
13. Current-Sense Protection (CS1, CS2)
The FAN9611 uses independent over-current protection
for each of the power MOSFETs. The current-sense
thresholds at the CS1 and CS2 pins are approximately
0.2 V. The current measurements are strictly for
protection purposes and are not part of the control
algorithm. The pins can be directly connected to the
non-grounded end of the current-sense resistors
because the usual R-C filters of the leading-edge
current spike are integrated in the IC.
