L64014 PCMCIA Bridge
HD[15:0]
Host Data [15:0]
Input/Output
HD[15:0] is the 16-bit bidirectional data bus. HD15 is the
most-signicant bit.
PCCE1_N
PC Card Enable 1
Input
Asserting this input LOW enables even-numbered
address bytes.
PCCE2_N
PC Card Enable 2
Input
Asserting this input LOW enables odd-numbered address
bytes.
PCIORD_N
PC I/O Read
Input
The PC host asserts this signal LOW to read data from
the PCMCIA card’s I/O registers. PC Chip Enable 1 or 2
must be asserted at the same time.
PCIOWR_N
PC I/O Write
Input
The PC host asserts this signal LOW to write data to the
PCMCIA card’s I/O registers. PC Chip Enable 1 or 2 must
be asserted at the same time.
PCIRQ_N
PC Interrupt Request
Output
The L64014 asserts this signal LOW to inform the host
that the PCMCIA card needs service.
PCOE_N
Output Enable
Input
When this signal is LOW, memory read data is enabled
for an EEPROM byte access. When PCOE_N is HIGH,
I/O register access is enabled.
PCREG_N
PC Reg
Input
When the host asserts this signal LOW, access is limited
to attribute memory and I/O space. Attribute memory
contains card capacity, conguration, and attribute infor-
mation. I/O space provides access to peripheral devices.
When the L64014 is congured for DMA operation, the
host uses PCREG_N as a DMA acknowledge.
PCRESET
PC Reset
Input
Asserting this signal HIGH clears all L64014 registers
and returns the L64014 to its original uncongured state
that existed prior to initialization.
