LA7876
Overview
The LA7876 was developed for Internet TVs and high-definition CRT monitors that require a narrow vertical retrace
interval. In this device, Sanyo succeeded in achieving a narrow vertical retrace interval by adopting a 3
× step-up system in
the voltage step-up circuit and by also lowering the reference voltage to one half that used in previous methods. This also
achieves a significant reduction in power consumption. Furthermore, since this IC can provide direct drive (including the
DC component) for the deflection yoke with the saw-tooth wave output from the bus control signal processing IC, the
scrolling operation required for wide-screen TV sets can be controlled over the bus. Since the LA7876 provides a
maximum deflection output current of 3Ap-p, it is appropriate for large-diameter CRTs and can drive the CRTs used in 33
to 37-inch TV sets.
