Input Fuse
A slow-blow fuse (Schurter SPT 2.5 A, 250 V, size 5 × 20 mm)
mounted inside of the converter protects against severe
defects. The fuse is not accessible by the user.
The fuse and a VDR form together with the input filter an
effective protection against high input transients.
Input Under-/Overvoltage Lockout
If the input voltage is below approx. 60 VAC or exceeds
approx. 280 VAC, an internally generated inhibit signal
disables the output(s). When checking this function the
absolute maximum input voltage rating Vi abs must be carefully
considered (see table Input data).
Note:
When Vi is between Vi min and the undervoltage lockout
level, the output voltage may be below the value defined in table
Output data
.
Inrush Current
The converters incorporate an NTC resistor in the input line,
which at initial switch-on cycle limits the peak inrush current, in

order to prevent the connectors and switching devices from
damage. Subsequent switch-on cycles within a short interval
will cause an increase of the peak inrush current due to the
warming-up of the NTC resistor.
