Note 1: Stresses beyond those listed under Absolute Maximum Ratings

Maximum Rating condition for extended periods may affect device
reliability and lifetime.
Note 2: The LTC3872 is tested under pulsed load conditions such that
T J ?≈?T A . The LTC3872E is guaranteed to meet performance specifications
from 0°C to 85°C. Specifications over the –40°C to 85°C operating
junction temperature range are assured by design, characterization and
correlation with statistical process controls. The LTC3872I is guaranteed
over the –40°C to 125°C operating junction temperature range. The
LTC3872H is guaranteed over the full –40°C to 150°C operating junction
temperature range. The maximum ambient temperature consistent with
these specifications is determined by specific operating conditions in
conjunction with board layout, the rated package thermal impedance and
other environmental factors.
Note 3: T J is calculated from the ambient temperature T A and power
dissipation P D according to the following formula:
LTC3872TS8: T J = T A + (P D ? 195°C/W)
LTC3872DDB: T J = T A + (P D ? 76°C/W)
Note 4: The dynamic input supply current is higher due to power MOSFET
gate charging (Q G ? f OSC ). See Applications Information.
Note 5: The LTC3872 is tested in a feedback loop which servos V FB to
the reference voltage with the I TH pin forced to the midpoint of its voltage
range (0.7V ≤ V ITH ≤ 1.9V, midpoint = 1.3V).
Note 6: Rise and fall times are measured at 10% and 90% levels.
