two100DifferentialCMLdataI/O’sbetweentheProtocolASIC
toaswitchfabric,overcable,ortoextendthesignalsacrossother
distantdatapathwaysontheuser’splatform.Theintegrated
equalizationcircuitryprovidesflexibilitywithsignalintegrityof
thesignalbeforetheReDriver.Alow-levelinputsignaldetection
and output squelch function is provided for each channel.
Eachchanneloperatesfullyindependently.Whenthechannels
areenabledEN_x#=0andoperating,thatchannels’input
signallevel(onxI+/-)determineswhethertheoutputisactive.Ifthe
inputsignallevelofthechannelfallsbelowtheactivethreshold
level(Vth-)thentheoutputsaredriventothecommonmode
voltage.Inadditiontosignalconditioning,whenEN_x#=1,the
deviceentersalowpowerstandbymode.ThePI3EQX7741STalso
includes a fully programmable receiver detect function.
WhentheRxDetpinispulledhigh,automaticreceiverdetection
willbeactive.Thereceiverdetectionloopwillbeactiveagain
ifthecorrespondingchannel’ssignaldetectorisidleforlonger
than25mS.ThechannelwillthenmovetoUnplugModeif
loadnotdetected,oritwillreturntoLowPowerMode(Slumber
Mode)duetoinactivity.
