Description
PS396A/PS397A low-resistance CMOS analog multiplexers feature
35% lower ON resistance (65-ohm max.) than MAX396/397 devices.
Resistance matching is within 5.5 ohms between switches and resis-
tance flatness is 4-ohms maximum. PS396A is a 16-channel multi-
plexer, and the PS397Ais a dual 8-channel differential device.
Application versatility is enhanced through wide supply voltage
operation. Operating voltage options range from dual ±2.7V to ±8V
supplies, to a single +2.7V to +16V supply. With supply current
under 1A, the devices are ideal for battery powered systems. TTL
logic compatibility exists for dual-supply operation up to ±8V and
for single supply operation under 10V.
Design improvements yield extremely low charge injection (4.5pC
max) and guarantee electrostatic-discharge (ESD) protection greater
than 2000V. They also offer low leakage over temperature (input
off-leakage current less than 1nA at +85°C) and fast switching
speeds (transition time less than 130ns).
The PS396A/PS397A are pin compatible, improved replacements
for the Maxim MAX396/MAX397. Package options include 28-pin
wide SO, DIP and SSOP packages.
