Description
The PTB48500 power module is a
13-A rated, dual-output isolated DC/DC
converter. It is designed to provide the
logic output voltages for an entire 64-port
AC-7 based xDSL card, or any other
system requiring dual logic power supply
voltages. Using state-of-the-art power
conversion technology these modules
operate from a standard telecom (-48 V)
central office (CO) supply to produce two
independently regulated output voltages.
The PTB48500 series includes an
“on/off” enable control, output current
limit, over-temperature protection, input
under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and a
power-up reset (POR) output. The output
voltages are also designed to meet the
power-up/power-down sequencing re-
quirements of popular DSPs.
The PTB48500 also includes functions
specifically designed for operation with
the PTB48510 DC/DC converter mod-
ule, when powering the AC7 chipset
in ADSL applications. The “EN Out”
and “Sync Out” pins provide compatible
output signals for controlling both the
power up and switching frequency of the
PTB48510.
The PTB48500 uses double-sided
surface mount technology contruction.
The package size is based on the industry
standard outline and does not require a
heatsink. Both through-hole and surface
mount pin configurations are available.
