NEW CERAMIC RESONATOR MEASURES A MEAGER 2.0 X 2.5 X 1.2 mm
For immediate release: May 3, 2004, Miami, Florida.
Raltron Electronics Corp. has just announced availability of their new
SMRS-A2 and B2 Series Ceramic Resonators in a surface mount
package. The series offers exceptional stability over a wide tempera-
ture range, as well as offering a broad frequency range in an extremely
small package.
Not only is the series suitable for high-density packaging applications,
but it is also particularly applicable for computer hardware, such as
CD-ROM, DVD, scanners, digital cameras, and memory media.
Raltron’s new SMRS series is available in a frequency range from 20
to 48 MHz with a maximum frequency tolerance of ±0.5%. The tem-
perature stability is ±0.3% maximum over the operating temperature
range of -20° to +80°C. The series supports a maximum aging rate of
±0.3% over a 10 year period.
The SMRS-A2 and B2 series are offered in extremely small and low profile packages, with
dimensions of only 2.5 x 2.0 x 1.2 mm. The A2 series (2 terminal package) does not offer an
internal capacitance provision, however, the B2 series (3 terminal package) has built-in
capacitance values between 8 and 12 picofarad. The SMRS is shipped in tape and reel
format with 3000 pieces per reel.
The new SMRS Series is available on a 6 – 8 week deliver cycle ARO, with pricing currently
quoted at $0.25 in lots of 10K pieces. For a detailed specification, sample requests and
