11. Application information
A converter with the TEA1530(A) consists of an input ?lter, a transformer with a third
winding (auxiliary), and an output stage with a feedback circuit.
Capacitor C VCC buffers the IC supply voltage, which is powered via the internal current
source, that is connected to the recti?ed mains, during start-up and via the auxiliary
winding during operation.
A sense resistor R sense converts the primary current into a voltage at pin SENSE. The
value of R sense de?nes the maximum primary peak current.
