Input Filter for reduced EME
Most of the EME generated by the buck regulator is caused by the transitions of the load
current flowing through the buck inductance. The current flows from the input line
through the power switch to the inductor when the switch is on and recirculates through
the external catch diode when the switch is off. The input bypass capacitor and the catch
diode must be placed as close as possible to the IC to avoid high frequency EME through
stray inductance. To limit the bandwidth of the switching transients the current slope can
be set by an external resistor within 20ns to 80ns transition time.

Tracker outputs
Voltage Tracker outputs should bypass with a 1uF electrolytic capacitor with ESR for
stability, an additional ceramic capacitor is recommended for improved EMI. Keep
open, if not needed.
