Read out data from TSG200

TSG200
Upon press and hold of Tx button for more than 3 seconds , the data stored in TSG200 can be retrieved and
transferred to the RS-232 interface.
When this operation is activated, the TSG200 will first check whether the RS-232 port is connected to a PC or
not, if not, it will display “Err” at top right hand corner of LCD for 10 seconds to show error connection but
nothing will be erased or transferred. After 10 second, “EEP” will reappear to show that the data is still stored

The process by which the TSG200 confirms that there is a RS232 connection is as follows:

The TSG200 will send the request stream 10101111 (0xAF) to the RS232 port in the first 10
seconds
Upon reception of this data stream by the PC, the PC must send within 10 seconds the
acknowledgement stream 11111111 (0xFF) back to the TSG200
After acknowledging 0xFF, the TSG200 will then transfer data to the PC
When the RS-232 port is properly connected to a PC, then the TSG200 will transfer the stored data from the
eeprom to the RS-232 interface. At this time, the LCD top right corner will flash 232 to show data transfer in
place and after transfer finish, these 3 characters will go blank. This means that the data has been completely
transferred to the PC and the eeprom is now empty. TSG200 transfers data to the PC in the following format (all
actual data transfer is in binary format)
