5 SPECIAL FEATURES
WhilemostofthefeaturesontheWi125arejustasubsetofthecapabilitiesoftheWi125andsoaredescribedin
theWi125DataSheetandtheWi125UserManual,therearesomeadditionalfeaturesspecifictotheWi125that
requireexplanation.
5.1 User Commands
TheWi125canacceptanumberofspecificusercommandsforsettingreceiverparameterssuchasUARTbaud
rateandNMEAmessagesubset,outputfrequency,etc.ManyoftheseparametersarestoredinNon-Volatile
Memory(NVM)sothatthesettingsareretainedwhenthereceiverlosespower.Theavailablecommandsare
definedindetailintheWi125UserManual.
5.2 Self Survey
Tooptimizetimingperformance,theWi125performsa10-minutesurveyeachtimethereceiverispoweredup
andafterobtainingaGPSfix.Whenthesurveyiscomplete,thereceiverautomaticallyentersfixedtimingmode.
Forapplicationswithspecifictimingperformancerequirements,itmaybenecessarytoallowthesurveytocom-
pletebeforeusingthe1PPSandfrequencyoutputs.Thestatusofthesurveycanbedeterminedbyqueryingthe
receiverdynamicssettingasdescribedintheWi125UserManual.
