Cable Cutter Tool
6. This tool will operation in two cycles:
Cycle 1
Completely open the tool by the movable handle. Feed: (2) two ratchet teeth. This is for quick cutting.
Cycle 2
Open the tool half way, by using the movable handle. Feed: (1) one ratchet tooth. This lowers hand force
through reducing opening.
Caution : An overload of the tool may lead to a fracture of the ratchet teeth.
Miscuts or Jams
Should this tool ever become stuck or jammed in a partially closed position, Do Not force the handles open or
closed . This tool comes equipped with a release plate that can open in every cutting position to allow removal of
the cable before completion of the cut. To do this, follow the steps below.
1. C lose the movable handle until the release plate can be moved in the down position. See Fig ure 1.
Never use force! There is danger of fracturing the ratchet teeth and damaging this tool.
2. Keep the release plate in the down position.
3. Open the swivel blade opposite of the cutting direction.
4. Remove the cable and lift the release plate up to the original position.
Maintenance
It is recommended that each operator of the tool be made aware of, and responsible for, the following maintenance
steps:
1. Remove dust, moisture, and other debris with a clean brush, or soft, lint free cloth.
2. Do not use any abrasive materials that could damage the tool.
3. Make certain all movable parts such as bolt joints and the ratchet mechanism are oiled regularly. Light oil
(such as SAE30W oil) applied at the oil points.
4. Make sure the teeth of the swivel blade are cleaned of debris. There is danger of fracturing the ratchet area
and the feed mechanism.
5. When the tool is not in use, store it in a clean, dry area.
Warranty
This tool is for cutting electrical cable only. All tools are warranted to be free of manufacturing defects for a period
of 30 days. Should such a defect occur, the tool will be exchanged free of charge. This exchange will not be
applicable to altered, misused, or damaged tools. This tool is designed for hand use only. Any clamping, fixturing,
or use of handle extensions voids this warranty.
