B. Sequencing
These connectors have three levels of sequencing during mating. The order of mating is: ground, signal
pin Level 2, and signal pin Level 1. The mating sequences are the same throughout the 2-- , 3-- , and 4-- pair
connectors. The relative distances between sequencing events as a function of the distance between the
top of the backplane and the centerline of Row A contact tails of the receptacle are given in Figure 9.
Note: 2--pair connectors shown, 3-- and 4--pair connectors are the same for dimensioning purposes.
