to select the transformers (T1 and T2), resistors (Rt and R

) and capacitor (C

)
needed for this application.
Note that if the application includes surge protection, such as a varistor or sidactor on the TTIP/
TRING lines, it may be necessary to reduce the value of the capacitor C
L
or eliminate it
completely. Excessive capacitance at C
L
will distort the transmitted signals.
