FUNCTION
Active-Low Reset Output. RESET is either an open-drain or a push-pull output (see the

Selector Guide) . RESET asserts low when V CC drops below the selected threshold and
remains low for the V CC reset timeout period after V CC rises above the reset threshold.
The RESET one-shot asserts low for the reset timeout period when the manual reset
input is asserted longer than the setup delay. The open-drain output requires an
external pullup resistor.

Soft Reset Output. SRESET is the debounced version of MR .
Setup Delay Select Input. Connect SEL to V CC , GND, or leave unconnected to select a
desired setup delay (see Table 1a); or connect an external resistor between SEL and
GND to select a desired setup delay (E suffix only, see Tables 1a and 1b).
