Block description
1)Serialinterface
When the serialinterface receives the serialdata,itidentifies the index data and transm its the controldata to each
function block.
2)FIFO
The musicalscore data are stored tem porarily in FIFO which can contain up to 32 musicalscore data.The musical
score data are processed are processed in the sequencerwhen they are generated as sounds and those thathave been
processed are deleted one afteranother.When the rem aining data am ountin FIFO reaches the registersetting (IRQ
point)orless,itoutputsan interruptsignalto ask forthe continuing musicalscore data to be fed.
3)Sequencer
When the sequencerreceivesthe STA RT command,itstartsto read the musicalscore data which have been stored in
FIFO .The processed musicalscore data are deleted.
4)Timbre register
The timbre data are stored in this registerwhich can contain up to 8 timbres.Settings forthis registermustbe made
before sound generation.Itis initialized when the hardw are orthe software is resetbutthe values are retained while
in the pow er-dow n m ode and also afteritiscancelled.
5)FM synthesizer
The timbresare synthesized and generated according to settings.Foursoundscan be generated atthe sam e time.
6)D/A,volum e and am plifier
The outputs from the synthesizer are D /A converted and volum e processed.After that, they are output from the
speakerorthe earphone outterminal.
