Calculating the Set Current Value
IOUT = (reference voltage × set current ratio)/(sensing resistance)
Since the reference voltage is 0.2V, with a set current ratio of 100% and a 1
Ω sensing resistor, the output current will be
as follows.
IOUT = 0.2 × 100%/1Ω
= 200mA
To change the output current, change the value of the sensing resistor.
Setting the Chopping Frequency
When this IC performs constant current control, it performs a chopping operation at a frequency set by an external
resistor.
The value of the resistor connected to the R pin (pin 31) sets the chopping frequency as shown in the figure below.
Recommended chopping frequency : 50kHz to 200kHz
