Digital Highpass Filter Characteristics
This digital HPF is implemented as the cascade of two
identical first-order highpass IIR filter sections. Each
section implements the difference equation:
y[n] R y[n - 1] x[n] - x[n - 1]

Where x[n] is the input and y[n] is the output. The
highpass 3dB corner frequency is established by the
filter coefficient (R). Each section can be independently
programmed to one of 10 possible values or placed into
bypass mode. The available filter coefficient values and
corresponding cutoff frequency are given in Table 1.
