10. Extended I/O Serial Interface (SIO)
(1) Description
This block is a serial I/O interface that allows data transfer using clock synchronization. It consists of a single
eight-bit channel.
LSB-first or MSB-first transfer mode can be selected for data transfer.
The MB91F355A/MB91355A/MB91354A/MB91V350A contain three channels of this SIO.
The serial I/O interface operates in two modes:
Internal shift clock mode: Transfer data in synchronization with the internal clock.
External shift clock mode: Transfer data in synchronization with the clock supplied via the external pin (SCK).
By manipulating the general-purpose port sharing the external pin (SCK) in this mode, data can also be trans-
ferred by a CPU instruction.
