CMOS Low Voltage RF/Video, SPST Switch
T Switch Configuration
The PI5A751 has high off isolation and wide bandwidth by using
a T-switch configuration. In the OFF state, the shunt switch is
closed and the two series switches are open. The closed switch
shunts unwanted signals that may be passed by the off capaci-
tance of the series switches to ground.
In the ON state, the shunt switch is open and the high frequency
signal path is through the two closed series switches.
Layout Guidelines
High stray capacitance and inductance make wire-wrap boards,
sockets and prototype boards unsuitable for high frequency cir-
cuit development work.
The parts should be soldered to a PC board. For a low impedance
to ground, a ground plane should cover the component sides
unused area.
VDD should be bypassed with a 0.1F surface mount capacitor
mounted as close as possible to the device.
