OCP Pin Overvoltage Protection. Figure 37 shows the OCP pin
OVP function. When the OCP pin voltage with reference to the
S/GND pin reaches VOCP(OVP) = 2.6 V, OVP is activated, and the
device enters intermittent oscillation mode operation as described
in the VCC pin OVP section, above. This can be used as protec-
tion in the event the quasi-resonant signal setup is mistaken or
excess load current happens in the use of a poor coupling trans-
former between the primary and secondary winding.
OVP pin Overvoltage Protection. Figure 38 shows the OVP pin
OVP function. When the OVP pin voltage with reference to the
S/GND pin reaches and exceeds VOVP = 2.0 V, OVP is activated,
and the device enters intermittent oscillation mode operation as
described in the VCC pin OVP section, above. As shown in fig-
ure 10 and figure 11, with PC2 this function can be used to detect
high output voltage, such as an open load condition.
