11. Low Power Consumption
Note 1. The maximum operating frequency is 32 MHz (25 MHz for BCLK) when the operating voltage is 1.8 V or larger and smaller than
2.7 V. The maximum operating frequency is 20 MHz when the operating voltage is 1.62 V or larger and smaller than 1.8 V.
Each operating power control mode is described below.
High-speed operating mode
This mode allows high-speed operation.
During reading the flash memory (FLASH), the maximum operating frequency of ICLK and BCLK is 50 MHz, and that
of FCLK, PCLKB, and PCLKD is 32 MHz. During FLASH programming/erasure (P/E), the FLCK can be operated in
the operating frequency from 4 MHz to 32 MHz. The operating voltage is in the range of 2.7 to 5.5 V both for FLASH
read and P/E. This mode should not be used when the operating voltage range is 1.62 V or larger and smaller than 2.7 V.
Middle-Speed Operating Mode A
The maximum operating frequency during FLASH read is: 50 MHz for ICLK and PCLKD, 32 MHz for FCLK and
PCLKB, and 25 MHz for BCLK. The operating voltage range is 1.62 to 5.5 V during FLASH read. However, for ICLK
and PCLKD, the maximum operating frequency during FLASH read is 32 MHz when the operating voltage is 1.8 V or
larger and smaller than 2.7 V. The maximum operating frequency during FLASH read is 20 MHz for all the clocks when
the operating voltage is 1.62 V or larger and smaller than 1.8 V.
During FLASH programming/erasure, the operating frequency range is 4 to 32 MHz and the operating voltage range is
2.7 to 5.5 V.
When the same operation is performed under the same conditions (operating frequency, operating voltage), this mode
provides lower power consumption than high-speed operating mode.
After a reset is canceled, operation is started in this mode.
Middle-Speed Operating Mode B
This mode is basically the same as the middle-speed operating mode A but provides further reduced power consumption
during low-speed and low-voltage FLASH programming/erasure.
The operating frequency range and operating voltage range during FLASH read are the same as those in middle-speed
operating mode A.
However, during FLASH programming/erasure, the operating frequency range is 4 to 32 MHz and the operating voltage
range is 1.62 to 3.6 V. The maximum operating frequency during FLASH programming/erasure is 20 MHz when the
operating voltage is 1.62 V or larger and smaller than 1.8 V.
When the same operation is performed under the same conditions (operating frequency, operating voltage), this mode
provides lower power consumption than middle-speed operating mode A.
