Overview
ST40
ST40 is a RISC 32-Bit microprocessor based on the SH-4 core (360Mips @
200MHz). With the introduction of the ST40RA, the SH-4 now becomes
available for a wide range of applications.
Major Investments:
STMicroelectronics is one of the leading promoters of the SuperH
architecture, which has become popular in the gaming, automotive and
consumer markets.
The ST40RA is the first device in a new family of General Purpose MPUs
for the Car, Industrial and Telecom markets.
