T Operation of A/D conversion function

The operation of the A/D converter is explained. The time from the start of A/D conversion to completion

is about 44 instruction cycles.

(1) When A/D conversion is started, the conversion-on flag bit is set (ADC1: ADMV = 1) and the set

analog input pin is connected to the sample hold circuit.

(2) The voltage of the analog input pin is saved in the internal sample hold capacitor in about 8 instruction

cycles. This voltage is held until A/D conversion is completed.

(3) The voltage saved in the sample hold capacitor and the A/D conversion reference voltage are

compared the bits from the most significant bit (MSB) to the least significant bit (LSB) using the

comparator, and the result is transferred sequentially to the ADCD register.

(4) When the result transfer is completed, the conversion-on flag bit is cleared (ADC1: ADMV = 0) and the

interrupt request flag bit is set (ADC1: ADI = 1).

Figure 12.6c is required to start the sense function using software.

Continuous start
