T2IF:
Interrupt
request flag bit
This bit is set to 1 when timer 2 counter value matches timer 2 data register (T2DR)
setting (comparate data latch).
The interrupt request is output when this bit and interrupt request enable bit (T2IE)
are 1.
Note: In the 16-bit mode, the T1IF bit becomes valid and the T2IF bit becomes don’t
care.

The bit enables/disables interrupt request output to CPU.
The interrupt request is output when this bit and interrupt request flag bit (T2IF) are
1.
Note: In the 16-bit mode, the T1IF bit becomes valid and the T2IE bit becomes don’t
care.

T2OS1, T2OS0:
Unused bits
These bits are not used with timer 2. Always write 00B to them.

T2CS1, T2CS0:
Clock source
selection bits
These bits select count clock supplied to counter.
One count clock is selected from three internal clocks.
When 11B is written to this bit, the 16-bit mode is selected.
Note: In the 16-bit mode, the T1CS1 bit and T1CS0 bit become valid. The T2CS1
bit and the T2CS0 bit only select the 16-bit mode.
Bit 1
T2STP:
Timer stop bit
This bit stops the counter temporarily.
When 1 is written to this bit, the counter stops temporarily. When 0 is written to this
bit with the timer started (T2STR = 1), the counter continues operating.
Note: In the 16-bit mode, the T1STP bit becomes valid and the T2STP bit becomes
don’t care.
Bit 0
T2STR:
Timer start bit
This bit starts/stops the counter.
When this bit is changed from 0 to 1, the counter is cleared. At this point, when the
timer operation continuation state (T2STP = 0) is enabled, the counter starts and
increments the selected count clock. When 0 is written to this bit, the counter stops
and the prescaler is cleared.
Note: In the 16-bit mode, the T1STR bit becomes valid and the T2STR bit becomes
don’t care.
Check: When using the 16-bit mode, write 11B to T2CS1 and T2CS0 and perform control using the
T1CR register.
