RS_BYTE_SEL

RS_BYTE_SEL selects the Reed-Solomon corrected bit
error count or the byte error count. When set to 1, byte
errors are counted. When set to 0, bit errors are counted.
The initial value of RS_BYTE_SEL is 1.
TEI
Transport Error Indicator
D4 R/W
When TEI is HIGH, the transport error indicator
mechanism is activated. In this mode, the rst bit
following the synchro byte in a transport packet is forced
HIGH whenever the RS decoder nds the data block to
be uncorrectable.
The initial value of TEI is 0.
BER_MON
Bit Error Rate Monitoring
D3 R/W
When HIGH, this bit deasserts FEC_DVO (data valid
output) during the sync byte of every frame. It can be
used for bit error rate monitoring purposes. It is
applicable only in the serial output mode (OF = 0).
The initial value of BER_MON is 0.
