thepackage.Itisdefinedby:
Theparametersinthisequationhavebeendefinedabove.However,themeasurementsareperformedwiththe
caseofthepartpressedagainstawater-cooledheatsinktodrawmostoftheheatgeneratedbythechipoutthe
topofthepackage.ItisthisdifferenceinthemeasurementprocessthatdifferentiatesΘJCfromψJC.ΘJCisatrue
thermalresistanceandisexpressedinunitsof°C/W.
