Mask/Match
Pattern Principle
If a match/mask lter is not enabled, it is ignored (i.e., no match for that
lter). If all bits in the register are reset to 0 for a specic PID, then no
sections are posted to the L64007 DRAM for this PID. To have section
information posted, the enable lter bits must be set to 1 for at least one
lter.
To ignore ltering, use the mask bits capability. For example, if you want
to obtain information on all sections for a specic PID, all mask bits must
be 1 for the selected lter. You can turn on any number of sections for
lter operation. If one of the lters matches the section header pattern,
the section is posted to the L64007 DRAM.
2.3.2.9 PID Processor Interrupt Handling
After processing a PID, an interrupt can be generated to the host proces-
sor. Status information about the processed PID is generated. Each time
processing has been completed, a status word is saved in the PID Status
Queue (PSQ). The PSQ is 4 words deep and 16 bits wide; it can be
accessed by the host processor. The status word is only posted if the EI
bit for this PID in the ACRF is set to one. Section 4.8.5, “PID Status
Queue (PSQ).” contains details about the bits in this register.
