Registers
PRE.4 for Rev. D
Copyright 1997 by LSI Logic Corporation. All rights reserved.
Bits 0 - 8 are the extension; bits 9 - 41 are the base. The extension is a
wrap-around counter (0 - 299) that increments the base by 1 each time
it is lled.
The following descriptions apply to the PCR low word, middle word, and
high word values, respectively.
After reset, the value in this register is 0.
4.7.3.1 PCR Low Word (PLW)
PLW
PCR Low Word Base
[15:9]
This represents the lower 8-bit value of the 33-bit PCR
base value extracted from the transport bit stream when
PCR arrives in the transport packets designated by
PCR_PID. This read-only register is used to store the low
word of the PCR value extracted from the transport
packet bit stream.
PLW
PCR Low Word Extension
[8:0]
This are the extension of the lower 16-bit value. The
extension is a wrap-around counter (0 - 299) that incre-
ments the base by 1 each time it is lled.
4.7.3.2 PCR Middle Word (PMW)
PMW
PCR Middle Word
[15:0]
The PMW is a 16-bit read-only register used to store the
middle word (bits 16 - 31) of the 42-bit PCR value
extracted from the transport packet bit stream when PCR
arrives in the transport packets designated by PCR_PID.
4.7.3.3 PCR High Word (PHW)
The PHW is a 16-bit read-only register that stores the
high word (bits 32 - 41) of the 42--bit PCR value extracted
from the transport packet bit stream.
