The rst counter, IN_SYNC, counts the number of times the 0x47 byte
has been detected within 188 bytes. If this count reaches the program-
mable value, the SYNC_ON status bit is set to 1. This indicates that the
transport device locked the transport stream. The lock remains until
SYNC_OFF is set to 1. SYNC_OFF is the reverse of SYNC_ON.
OUT_SYNC counts the times the 0x47 byte was not detected when the
L64007 expected it to appear (see Figure 2.4). Note that the SYNC_OFF
process is turned on only after synchronization has been achieved. If the
OUT_SYNC reaches the programmable value, the SYNC_ON bit is
reset, and the SYNC_OFF bit is set to 1. The process of acquiring syn-
chronization then starts again. When the L64007 is not in sync state, no
data is posted.
