Two signals allow the CPU to monitor the open slots on the channel
decoder interface FIFO to prevent overow. CDRDY becomes active
when there are more than 10 slots open on the FIFO. The Channel Over-
ow bit becomes active when there are fewer than four open slots in the
FIFO.
Figure 2.2 shows the typical interface timing of the channel decoder
interface.

Locking and unlocking the transport data system is done by two pro-
grammable counters residing in the Channel Control register: IN_SYNC
and OUT_SYNC. Figure 2.3 shows the start of the sync process.
